Surely a bit of work on the taxis and aprons required and I guess a new d/d jetbridge be needed on the current or adjacent stand to accommodate.

Any idea if they're upgrading the earlys or lates?? or going with all 14 weeklys.

Be great to see this regularly.

A planning application has been submitted for over £3m worth of expansion to the west pier. It's not been revealed officially what this is yet but it could well be a double air bridge.

Emirates to launch daily London Stansted flights from 8th June 2018 with B77W
https://www.emirates.com/media-centr...rom-june-2018#

Outbound, flight EK33 will depart Dubai at 09:30hrs, and will arrive in London Stansted at 14:10hrs. On its return, flight EK34 will depart London Stansted at 21:10hrs and arrive in Dubai at 07:05 the following day.
Strange that aircraft will be 7 hours on the ground at STN.

Maybe the scheduling is to match Dubai connections. Other Emirates UK - Dubai flights are normally scheduled to either depart UK around 1400 to arrive Dubai around midnight or depart around 2100 to arrive Dubai 0700, so the second schedule timing may fit.

The majority of Emirates flights are timed to meet the bank of connections at Dubai, I believe Emirates have three daily wave of flights all timed for onward connections.

Not all banks at DXB consist of exactly the same makeup.

The new service to STN has been carefully planned to operate with the best connectivity in & out of those banks at DXB for the STN catchment market.

This reflects in the 7 hour layover & indicates even 6 months from launch that EK have quite precise knowledge & planning for this service.

Witness too a/c with the brand new F class allocated to the service from day one.

Notwithstanding the under belly cargo uplift expected & which will be heavily marketed by Emirates Sky Cargo this is a winning announcement today.

Good news with the A380 then & if that is the case then excellent...

But you rather part miss the finesse being explained.

Emirates banned from Tunisia.

Emirates has been banned from Tunisian over accusations of 'racism' after Tunisian women were 'randomly prevented from boarding Emirates flights.

Tunisia bans Emirates

The Tunisian government has banned Emirates Airlines from it's airports and airspace in a dispute over the acceptance of Tunisian nationals travelling to the UAE.

Airlineroute are reporting some 77L conversions to two class 38J/268Y.

https://www.routesonline.com/news/38...ervice-in-s18/

Some routes quoted are not all long range either with BOM & KHI listed which for UK purposes brings into the obvious scenario of the possibility of restoring BHX's third flight (which only struggles outside of school holidays), a Manchester 4th flight, a Glasgow third flight, Newcastle second flight or even another Gatwick also of course adding Cargo capacity.

The routes announced indicate only two to three aircraft but at 306 seats a pretty useful configuration for additional frequencies or new routes.

I can't find any official sources but I suppose they have obtained the seat-map data in GDS?

EK 777 2 class

Just found out,due to seat change shown on Manage My Booking, that my DXB/RGN flight at the weekend is a 3 class 777-300 on a 2 class route.
When I booked it was a 2 class 777-300,then it changed to a 3 class 777-200LR and it has changed again this week.
This is the third time it has happened to me in 12 months , on different sectors, where a 3 class (front cabin blocked) is used on a 2 class route
It is pretty obvious that they have too many 3 class hanging around.

It's more likely that the DXB-RGN flight had poor loads, so they've switched it to 3 class, and used the 2 class on another route that had better loads in J/Y.

I'll post again on the RGN load...but my recent BHX/DXB sector was an A380 3 class on the BHX 2 class route!

Summer 18

https://www.routesonline.com/news/38...as-of-28dec17/

The usual decreases for Ramadan although some are permanent such as Dublin - I thought the 380 was going to start or is this in preparation with both flights going three class with the next step the 380 on the lunchtime flight?

Manchester will see the 77W on EK21/22 for around six weeks with BCN and DUS getting the same.

I assume NCL and BHX will get three class aircraft during the period as even with the best will in the world 615 seats on EK39 during May and June is going to be a challenge other than the May school holiday.

ssflyer

Since mid October only one three class A388 @ BHX I believe which was around the snow closures at BHX so it has reduced on the BHX route since the demise of EK41 (as you would hope) but you appear to be right that the spare aircraft it does appear that they are mainly 3 class but they do dominate the fleet compared to the two class.

Although saying that EK found a couple of two class A388's this week for MAN on EK21 but no doubt load related at this time of year.
