Two used Dornier's have been sourced, they are still looking for a third.
First due in August.
They are negotiating the purchase of two new aircraft from RUAG with delivery expected by end of 2016.

Interesting, I'm sure SI attempted to commence a service from GCI to LCY in the past but were declined permission. I'm assuming that GR will use an ATR 42 for this as stated on their application for the route earlier this year

Matt,
SI we're not declined a license - they submitted an application without giving the required notice before the service was due to start, they then could not agree a date for the hearing to be held and withdrew the application. I think that I have the correct sequence, but at no time were they refused the license. Pete

Guernsey - London City Fares
When GR initially applied for the route at the start of the year, they stated that prices would be starting at £49 one way, albeit initially in a 228. Cheapest I can find now is £89 one way. Was thinking of using this route as City handier for work trips than gatwick, but not at that price, even months in advance!
RE: Guernsey - London City Fares
I think I've seen an answer somewhere (possibly Guernsey Press) that the £49 is the minimum that Aurigny will use for promotions, not the regular fare.

Poor G-NSEY suffered a birdstrike on its way out of Guernsey this morning... I believe it returned safely missing all schools / old peoples homes on the way it did make a fair old bang though!

Business lounge
Noticed flybe packing up its business lounge at GCI. Asked GR if they had considered taking it over; said it would be too expensive. Shame they can't organise a BA codeshare on this route! Could even operate the Jersey route on behalf of BA.

Latest PAX numbers for July show an increase of 11323 on last year for the month across all routes with nearly 60,000 carried. GWK not the only reason.
Code share with BI seems to be working well. ......why get involved with BA?Other airlines not interested with a Codeshare with AUR.
Number of times BA and it's predecessors have pulled out of serving the island (the last was the reason GR took on the Gatwick route) means the brand is not attractive to islanders. The above Pax numbers andWhich? Survey result show GR are doing allot of things right.
I've not heard anything about the Dorniers except they are leaving it late for an August delivery!
