TBSC,

You are correct. Now "Head of", or some such other title as a method of paying lower than industry standard wages?

If you say so...
It depends what you call industry standard these days. Still a tad higher than at Spanair, Malev, Sterling, Skyways and the likes.

TBSC

Lets be clear.

The wages at Wizz have ALWAYS, ever since day one, been low. It's not about new realities.

It's about the fact that the pay is, and always has been, crap. No benefits, just a low wage.

Not being nasty, or unrealistic, but it's always been thus in Wizzair. It hasn't morphed into low pay. It's just the way Wizz Air do things.

And if you mean better than all those bankrupt airlines, why don't we look at some others? The pay is worse than: easy, Norwegian, Ryanair, Jet2, Germanwings, Air Berlin.............

It works both ways.

I never said it's not lower. What I tried to say is that at least you have a job here (and still can get a job here which is not valid for majority of european airlines).

Comparing UK, norwegian or german salaries to HU/PL/RO/CZ/BG/UA etc. wages is not reasonable. On the money Wizz pilots make you can make a decent living in Eastern Europe (to say the least), I quess you can admit that. It's not a Wizz phenomenon, there are a few dozen airlines working (and 100 million EU citizens living) like that in Eastern Europe.

BTW I've never ever met a pilot who was happy with his/her money.

Amusing error when I was looking for flights:
Your session is expired. Please do not navigate to any other site as they won't work. Click on the 'Restart booking' button to restart your booking.

I see Wizz are now no longer showing a breakdown of what is taxes and what is fares as they are now just showing the total without breaking it down. Think there is a reason for this.

Seeing as they have been charging a ten euro travel tax on Cork flights for well over a year even though it was changed to three, I had hoped the new site design may make them correct the details. Instead it seems they're now just totally hiding it away.

I am actually a fan of the new Wizzair page design. I felt as though the other one got a little dated, and more unusable as the list of destinations got longer and longer. Nice little interface on this new design showing a route map for each airport when you type in your departure point.

I like the new design as well, but can somebody tell me where the low fare finder has gone? The feature where you could check an entire month with corresponding fares seems to be gone.... It was een great feature and do we now have start searching through all the flights to get the cheapest one?

Wizz now fly to LTN from 24 airports. Is that the largest number of destinations served by a non-based airline anywhere in Europe??

jdcg - I think Ryanair still (just) beat Wizz with their operation at Beauvais in terms of number of detsinations, although I stand to be corrected....

Eindhoven: 28

Eindhoven Airport is being served from 28 destinations by Ryanair as a non-base, which is more then the 24 at LTN

I wouldn't use the word just as Ryanair have 47 destionations from BVA compared to Wizz 24 from LTN. Its almost double than LTN.

@ Jorik: Not fully correct. The W-flights we have on the moment are:

- PRG-EIN-BRQ-EIN-PRG
- VNO-EIN-RIX-EIN-VNO
- WRO-EIN-BEG-EIN-WRO
