While this is extreme, for a return trip in the summer I've had four outbound and two return flights cancelled by 3 different airlines. Each time I rebook it's closer to the departure time and I pay more.
It's also damaging for the brands concerned... I'm at the point of wishing I'd booked Ryanair + a coach to my actual destination.
If an airline does this too often then they will get to the point where their name is such mud that nobody will be prepared to make a booking, particularly if (as in CityJet's case) they have a FB page that suggests people annoyed by delays in paying refunds...

Respectfully suggest your a lonely voice in your comment about London. The issue for that Cork route is City is a hub for business people in the main. Individuals who want rapid painless access in and out of The City and Canary Wharf. Their Dublin route is rammed on every single flight and could do with more capacity and still be rammed to max loads. There are simply more pax with business interests and needs to commute between Dublin and City as opposed to Cork to City. Dublin and it's IFSC financial district is the economic epicentre for the RoI. Cork just isn't in that space(sorry if that comes across as blunt it's not meant to be)

More chance of a Flybe aircraft being AOG (though that's no mean feat in itself). The Superjet is incredibly reliable, Interjet in Mexico have been singing it's praises since day one. Having flown the Aeroflot SSJ many times (more quiet and comfortable than anything else out there IMHO) I can't wait to fly it with Cityjet ☺

I was unfortunate enough to work with both (russian aircraft and the dash), would go for the latter and that speaks volumes as it's not exactly a fine piece of engineering either. Anyway, time will tell. Rather soon I guess.

Flybe has an excellent record at LCY and has not had many occasions of grounded tech aircraft - I think maybe 1 actually when thy first started. So I wouldn't go wasting a stand for AOG just yet

You wouldn't know it from the airline's web presence but their first Superjet is due to arrive in Dublin before 18:00 tonight 1st June.
However they do have photos of a football team.

It had operated a TT Races related charter from IOM.

VLM, who operated the London City to Antwerp service on behalf of Cityjet, the last of the onetime substantial Cityjet F50 operations, has gone out of business, not altogether unexpected. Today the service appears cancelled, presumably Cityjet are deciding whether to use their own Avro RJ (seems over the top), get in another prop aircraft ACMI contractor, or give up another route from LCY.

Cityjet using the RJ85 from Antwerp at the moment. They will not stop this route. The route will continue.
If VLM is able to restart the operation soon then Cityjet would like to use their F50 again. If everything goes as the potential new owners want then VLM could be flying again early next week. This of course depends on the Belgian CAA also...
