So how do you know both these routes are as profitable as you claim? Or if you have no inside information as you have just admited, are you just making things up and really you have no idea how profitable or not, these routes may be?

God.

I'm finished discussing this, I'm not going to potentially compromise my position because you choose to be purposely evasive to what I'm saying. Does it give you some sort of gratification?

Only glimmer of a new route is from Stobart, BRS possible. Nothing else I'm hearing, which is unusual for this time of year.

Sas will operate a new summer route to Stockholm beginning august 1 and operating until October 7th, great news hopefully it'll be supported and can grow to operate the full summer season.

Very interesting but amazing route with an amazing airline. Something Ryanair could never sustain.

August 1st to October 7th are unusual dates. I would normally expect a summer-only route to start earlier and finish earlier. Does anyone know the thinking behind those dates?

Splitting the aircraft between two seasonal routes? (Edit: I'm wrong, no idea)

The Austrian and Swiss charter routes finish in August.

Will be interesting to see the split of the market between passengers originating in Ireland and in Sweden.

Great coup for Shannon you would imagine it will be heavily weighted towards inbound Swedish originating traffic be very interesting to see how it does

Given what it costs to fly to Stockholm from Dublin I'm almost tempted to drive to Shannon for my next trip there...

EI cancellations?

I see SNN to JFK flights cancelled for 3 days this week. Similar to 2 weeks ago. Anyone know why? Are passengers being bused to/ from Dub?

Dublin down an aircraft so the Shannon aircraft has been in Dublin most of the time. Expect this to continue until at least Saturday.

Providing they have no more bad luck with their aircraft, it looks as if there will be no more disruption after the 23rd.

If your flight is cancelled, you will be offered a flight through Dublin, with free transport from Shannon to Dublin, or either flying with Delta/United or through Heathrow. All depending on availability, generally the rerouting through Dublin is the only option used.

Can anyone confirm how many aircraft Ryanair have based at Shannon? Is it still 2? Also interested to know how many are based in Cork (also 2?)?

Correct, 2 in Shannon, though Cork is 1 in Winter, 2 for summer and 3 in peak summer (June-Aug)
