From a commercial point of view, all it does is replace BVA and reduces inbound tourism.
Good for the consumer though, been a long time since you could get to AGP in Janurary!

You would imagine it will be a lot more popular however. With North Africa and Turkey now being no go areas, the price of the Iberian resorts has skyrocketed. I wouldn't be surprised if demand in the low season climbs significantly as a result for those looking for a bargain.

Probably will, although the expansion of winter sun is very steep, cork has alot more AGP, TFS and LPA and now Shannon has FUE and AGP. The difference now with Malaga is that a cheap alternative is now available to the Canaries, and at 2pw.
I notice that the usual October deals are much more expensive this year.
The attack on IST today will not help North African and Turkish tourism.

Further reductions on MAN, down to 4pw in some instances during the winter, and STN also down to one per day during some days in the winter. Ryanair are blaiming brexit.
ORK, KIR and NOC are facing similar reductions.
On the positive side of things, I hear from an internal source that TK will be joining Kuwait airlines in their security checks for flights to the US, at various stages throughout the day. If this deal is finalised its likely to be worth a good few quid in revenue for the airport.
Also, the US routes this summer are performing well with the exception of EWR which is continuing to lose numbers.

Why do flight reduction at SNN affect ORK.KIR andNOC? I do not agree with you. WHO are you blaming for ZURICH sat flight not operating to morrow and the VIENNA operating vie BRS to morrow a few weeks ago these flights were going to have hugh passengers loads

MAN was 21 weekly with EI regional! Disgraceful decrease, but that's the legacy of Ryanair.

MAN had a x 21 weekly schedule as AerRyan rightly points out. FR have done amazing airport growth incentive deals, but the downside is that greedy airports like SNN accepted FR for sound bites, only to shoot themselves in the foot (look at the schedule now), to merely boost FR numbers at MAN (and other airports) to trigger volume incentive deals. The SNN region has suffered from the loss of a MAN business schedule, connectivity and two based aircraft. They were told, but would not listen. When should one strategically say no! SNN serves the taxpayer and the local economy. Short term gain sometimes = long term pain.

Big blow for Shannon- MAN was 10 per week couple of years ago now down to 4 per week whilst Stansted was up to four daily at one stage - this was pre empted by o Leary last week and already cuts are on website - don't see any cuts to knock as yet anyway

United's Chicago service under review currently, doesn't look promising for a return next year, 757's are getting sparse and Chicago persistently dropping numbers.
It seems Shannon has stalled completely, and if this keeps up will soon be going backwards.
I blaim management.

I don't blaim management for ORD, that's not their fault really.
What they did do is opt for the "FAST, SHORT TERM RYANAIR OPTION". This ended Stobart completely at SNN (Returned later without a base and with less ops), a fairly vital airline. Now we are seeing all of the new fancy routes being cut and sliced.
