It's hard to see who would operate it.
There are good reasons why Aer Lingus and KLM wouldn't, while Ryanair don't fly to Amsterdam (although I wouldn't rule out Eindhoven).
Transavia seem the only real option, but they would be completely dependent on point to point traffic and aren't really known in Ireland, which couldn't help them.

What about the west, the cities of Limerick and Galway combined with their satilitee towns as well as Clare, north tipp and other places north, I'd say one would do well.
Its completely off the cards with EI, KLM (stupidly) only allows 2 codeshares per country/airline. (Don't know which). So its up to KLM and they haven't been known for their rapid expansion since merging with AF.
If Ryanair ever get into AMS, I'd say Shannon would be one of its first routes.

The big unknown is what happens with the potential IAG takeover of Aer Lingus.
If that goes ahead, the parent company may not be so keen on Aer Lingus being a feeder for KLM services out of Amsterdam.
That could see KLM re-enter the Irish market in its own right, and with that a possible route to Shannon.
There's an awful lot of unknowns, ifs, coulds and possibles in all that though.

Until Passenger charges at Cork are cut, I'd say EI won't be adding anything new.

Considering that talks are scheduled for Thursday, I'd say that your speaking out of your hole by saying there's a "very low remote chance for summer 2016"
You never know they may even announce it as daily or even 2 daily starting in November on Friday
Need to look at EI's strategy.

I am completely unaware of where the capacity are coming from.
But EI are entering talks. Have you not read my posts already?

You forget that the 2 buses are back from the MAN LR deal. The other 2 will return in Septemver but I'm not sure will they go back to the lessor. EI are actively looking for work, believe it or not.

American Airlines resumed their extended Philadelphia service yesterday. The special thing about it is that its the first time its being operated by an AA aircraft and under an American callsign.

It's very "special" when you claim they're resuming something they're doing for the first time, that's the sort of analysis we love on here....
Two aircraft returning, EI-DEI/O were ex mainline but the remaining two have never seen EI colours, no need for all four to come back in winter!
