Given the fact Loganair chose DTV which like Prestwick is not in good shape .
On a route served already, and at that one that is dropping in numbers to the point Eastern have changed to a smaller aircraft.
I read when they started that they wanted to 'aggressively target Northern English airports '.
I would not be surprised to see them add HUY, DSA and EMS on top of the services already provided .
But your right in the end the passengers will loose out in this scenario .

Flybe are throwing the toys out the pram on this issue, where as they could have continued with a code share agreement. They are going further down the rankings, in my opinion, and I will avoid using them in future, unless absolutely necessary.

In the past 24 hours I have read a Loganair propaganda leaflet poking fun at Eastern's fleet among other things, along with an article in the Stornoway Gazette with a High Heid Yin from Flybe offering islanders the chance to come and "Hear the facts" about the air services. Is it just me, or is anyone else finding this willy-waving between Loganair and Flybe/Eastern rather tedious, incredibly unprofessional and downright childish?
From my point of view it appears Flybe/Eastern are attempting to shaft Loganair, something which for either party (but especially BE/T3) can only end in rather expensive and painful tears. The main people losing out, however, will be the island communities, again at the mercy of this rather farcical storm.

They are simply pointing out that Eastern's planes aren't great - having flown on them would be doing the same if I was Loganair.
Loganair should definitely be shouting about luggage allowances, no credit card fees and inflight service.
Loganair are also operating
MANCHESTER - SUMBURGH which I think is new. There's a touchdown in Glasgow en route but again, a much better proposition that BET3.
The H&I have been through all this before when Loganair and British Airways both operated there. I can't recall how many routes overlapped.

Unlikely loganair would operate into HUY as Bristow's/Eastern own the airport! ABZ-DSA might work to take on the T3 ABZ-HUY

This is just childish.
That said public opinion seems to be on Loganair's side. Most folks in the Highlands & Islands appear not fooled by the advertising, the empty promises or the back-of-a-fag-packet calculations on offer by FlyBe/Eastern, certainly if Eastern's reputation for reliability, customer service and how they treat their staff is anything to go by, not to mention BE's appalling treatment of Loganair and the mud-slinging I'll be very surprised if the partnership lasts long.

To add to Flybe/Eastern/Loganair's troubles is the news that the Scottish government is introducing RET on the Northern Isles ferries.
I know the ferry isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the routes will be significantly cheaper from next year. That's Aberdeen to Kirkwall, Aberdeen to Lerwick, Kirkwall to Lerwick, Scrabster to Stromness and Gills Bay to St. Margarets Hope.

Think the 2 Viking machines have to stay in their current colours as they are owned by the Scottish Government.

Might be more dependable, using Inverness-Manchester as a yardstick. They have had to pull a Saab 2000 from Aberdeen three times in the last fortnight to clear up for the ERJ. This mornings flight is still not showing on FR24.
