No official viewing areas, most enthusiasts use the vast area of what used to be Ingliston Market. Be prepared for a lot of folk there. When Concorde made it's farewell visit, literally thousands of 'spotters' came out of the woodwork . Barely any spaces left at Ingliston and adjoining areas.

Good Stuff Franz.
The 747SP belongs to Fry Electronics of California, it leaves today Sunday.
I believe it carried a Ballet Group or something - nice work if you can get it!
Here's a pic.

One can only hope that there will be a whole lot less of the barriers in the immigration hall sending you & your fellow passengers back and forth across half the width of the room like a flock of barely controlled sheep being herded together to be dipped, wormed, sheared and bred to the ram.
Having thought about it now there are some similarities betwen being a sheep & queueing for immigration...............

September passenger figure
Up 3.8% at 854500 per the BAA.
The Ryanair effect still helping no doubt.
Online article (can't remember which one) mentions that EDI are to have talks to establish a Dubai service. I am sure it was Dubai specific rather than Middle East but could be wrong.

Flybe Not Moving
Flybe not going anywhere they have a contract with Menzies and it has at least another year to run.
They are very happy with the service at Edi and may well even extend the contract before it should expire.
Alba only handle one airline at EDI globespan . nuff said.
