Monarch Expansion

Does anyone have any details about the expansion at Monarch? I hear they are desperate to get large quantities of type rated people for 75/320/330/300. What's going on???

Wait for announcement in the near future regarding expansion in Monarch, new scheduled base(s) and an increase in the Airbus fleet. Several new scheduled routes in Europe and a large long haul program for 2005 with at least one new 767-300ER.

Interviews for January for a large number of new F.O's but beware the new salary scale and new terms and conditions, things are not what they used to be in Monarch!

Red face

If desperate work for them, the Terms and Conditions are VERY inferior to new joiners however. The pilots are in dispute with the company about the new schedule C, which imposes these conditions on new joiners.
These were outlined on another thread.

However, great people to work with, just a shame to top management are "imposing" these T&C's. Its NOT the happy company it once was well known to be.

Don't work for peanuts, as this will hurt YOU in the future.

Grrr

Ever since Tim Jeans arrival at Monarch, I have expected an announcement of further expansion via the scheduled side of the business. This may come quite soon then?

Any truth in the rumour of Monarch starting a crown schedule service operation at Leeds? Heard this one in the crew room at Man.

There was a rumour on here a few months ago about monarch basing an aircraft at NCL.

There was a timetable put on here also.

Maybe mytravel to fully pull out of newcastle instead of basing just one aircraft.

New B763

Spotty M will lease G-DIMB ( ex MYT B763 ) to operate a line of longhaul for TCX. All route out of GLA & LGW for S2005 only.

Looking on the Monarch website, looks like you can book charter flights from NCL to:
Corfu, Faro, Lanzarote, Mahon, Malaga, Palma, Paphos, Tenerife and Venice

If you try and book a flight from NCL on the Monarch website all the flights are operated by everyone except Monarch.

The seats on sale from Newcastle would be with Avro, correct me if I am wrong please, part of the Monarch empire, certainly a close relationship with them?
