These aircraft are in UN colours, but are operated by third parties such as Rossair or Trackmark. Suggest you try them! Rossair also operates a number of B1900s on DHL contracts in West and East Africa.

1900 type rating

I am looking to get a type rating in a beech 1900, if any one has an idea of where i can get one and for how much, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

arnar 13th Aug 2002 23:32

where is the position?

Is there anyone hiring B-1900 pilots at this time or what?

Petes Dragon 14th Aug 2002 06:44

Try these....

Try NAC, Rossair or Executive Turbine at Lanseria.

NAC: +27 11 267 5000
Rossair: +27 11 701 3500
Executive Turbine: +27 11 659 2732

Hope this helps

P.D thanks for your help. will try giving them a call. much appreciated

cpt hobbs 16th Aug 2002 14:38

PD I called each of those places but had no luck, you wouldnt think it would be so hard to find somewhere to just get a type rating...... Any more ideas anyone?

Cardinal Puff 16th Aug 2002 15:30

Foster Aero, Lanseria.

Speak to Dudley or Ivan. They used to run a plan where you paid around R65k for a C208, BE200 and a 1900 (B/C model) conversion. They also arranged finance.

Good luck...

BE 1900 Rating

Hi all,
I am wanting to do a BE 1900 rating in the next month or so.
Where I am now these a/c are kinda few and far between, would anyone know which companies in Jhb or Lanseria might have BE1900's available for conversions and training?

All info greatly appreciated,
Thanks;)

USE THE RUDDERS 14th Nov 2002 21:34

Try Rossair or Foster Aero

Don't know if they do own conversions though

Petes Dragon 15th Nov 2002 07:04

Watch out for the booby's...

Only pulling your p.....r.

Try NAC as well, as they are getting something like 10 or 12 1900D' over the next few months.

They might also be looking for pilots for that matter...

Just remember,

Skaz 15th Nov 2002 16:06

thanks guys,

NAC is not looking for crew , apparently, even if they are getting a bunch of 1900's. This last bit is correct, but when asked, they only will consider guys with more than 100 BE200 hours?

also, they only do inhouse training...

B1900 Rating

Where can i get a b1900 rating in Africa or anywhere else. Unfortunately, my paperwork is delayed at flight safety in the US because of the restriction. I am a US citizen with a muslim background, and as a result they have delayed my paperwork for a type. I am looking everywhere including australia and africa....anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Forum Newbie

Could you well please tell me more details about this case and what is happening exactly.how long are you delayed

I could suggest Ad-Astral Aviation in Perth Australia they do the B1900C rating for about 7000 USD.

Check them out....

African BE1900 Rating

Avirex is a company based in Gabon, and operating two Beech 1900C. They have a JAR CRI/CRE who comes down from Europe every three months or so to train the company's crews. He provides a fairly throurough training, comprising ground school and about 7 hours in the airplane -- no sim. Try to call them to see if they have him scheduled in the near future, you may be able to join the company pilots for a price. You would then get a Beech 1900 type rating on a Gabonese (ICAO) licence.

Mr. Philippe Salles, CEO (talk to him only)
Avirex - BP 9900 - Libreville - Gabon
Tél: 00 (241) 73 99 20
Email: [email protected] (don't count too much on it)

But if you want an FAA or JAA rating, it suuuuure won't do.:o
