I hope Nkomo is paying the price in hell for his gloating over the callous and cowardly action his punks committed on the survivors of the tragic event.

The "world" wanted these thugs in power and they got what they wanted. Did any stinking pigs of politions anywhere, ever put their hand up and say we backed the wrong horse? Did they f***. Not one did or ever will.

The thuggery of shooting survivors is what makes this incident stand out. And the lack of condemnation from the 'civilised world', that Deafening Silence, is another thing that makes it stand out.

What would have been the altitude of the aircraft some 40 kms from Kariba?

IIRC the Sa-7 self destructs at around 15,000 feet so it would have been a lot less, I guess around 5,000 feet? They were hit about 5 minutes after takeoff.

Remember that it was not Mubage's thugs who shot these Viscounts down, it was Nkomo's thugs.
