Nigeria Unveils National Carrier: NIGERIA AIR
Nigeria's minister of state Hadi Sirika at approximately 1pm yesterday at the Farnborough Airshow, unveiled the name, logo and what appears to be the aircraft type for the proposed national carrier. The airline will be called NIGERIA AIR , and the render depicting the livery showed what appears to be a 737 max and an A330....any thoughts on if it will be successful or would it just go the way of Nigeria Airways?

Recruitment will be key. If they recruit on ability, not on wasta, then they should stand a good chance of surviving as there are plenty of good people willing to work. Virgin Nigeria showed that it was possible to recruit capable staff in Nigeria.
Wishing the new venture success. |
A CASE OF DEJA VU

Anything in the Centre of Excellence that is government is formed for the sole purpose of generating jobs for Big Ogas, their relatives and chopping money. |
Airbus kid-( thread starter)
This proffers an explanation regarding the whole fanfare of launching a mere logo at FIAT 2018, despite the fact that they do not have a core investor yet and neither have they inked any contract with aircraft manufacturers or lessors; for an airline that is scheduled to commence operations by December 2018 Talk about putting the cart before the horse, Government inefficacy at its finest...... Only in Nigeria. Or maybe it's just simple fatigue. Social media seems to be a little better informed....... On the positive side , the minister and his "aides" had a pretty good holiday in UK , with lots of forex for shopping. |
