SAA Pilots

Various political/managerial/financial etc issues are suggested as the reasons why SAA is in an grumpy mood/future.

What are your opinions based on you working with them ?

Please keep it cool…

Fly safe as alway !

1)Get your roster...
2)Arrive at work .....
3)fly the line safely....
4)Manage your finances carefully...
5)keep fit (mentally and physically)...
6)Stay OUT of management...
and lastly take ALL your annual leave.

The 7 step plan to a long and happy career in ANY airline.

close but lets try that one again :)

1)Get your roster... if it is on time
2)Arrive at work .....Making sure SAPS not following you due to dodgy license application
3)fly the line safely....AS long as you fly sop's and never question safety above sop
4)Manage your finances carefully... IE make sure you pay your tax for the first flight ... Rest of the country pays your salary after that
5)keep fit (mentally and physically)... IE make sure your virgin active is tax deductible even after your massive SAA discount
6)Stay OUT of management... Unless you in management
and lastly take ALL your annual leave. again unless it gets taken away

7. Dont tell anyone you fly for SAA since everyone knows your salary is based on the amount of tax the poor sa struggling citizen is already paying (and should therefore be flying for free once anyway)

Be proud to be flying for th only BBBBBBEEEEEEE airline in the world :) :ok:

Safari Fire Fighter you are a true genius, and so bold to say the truth like you have. Without your voice, everyone in the aviation industry who have heard the likes of SATAWU say the same thing as you would have been passed off as being uninformed buffoons with a political agenda. Except, they added a few other things in like pilots being glorified bus drivers, I wonder if you also agree with that statement too?

HW, to add my two cents:

I agree with Ghost_Rider737, in addition, professional pilots to work with, varied destinations, high standard of training but most of all, great people at work. Management (within flight-ops) is (for the majority of the time) approachable and reasonable and there is a good safety culture. As for the business side... stay out of the politics, keep it safe, your nose clean and it is a great job.
