Fly Salone

Hi everybody,

First time I have posted on PPRuNe and looking for some info...

I have heard that there is a new start based out of Gatwick going direct to Freetown. They are just waiting for the all clear from the WHO on Saturday to begin services on the 20th.

Anyone know any more?

Icelandic operation i think using a 757.and tickets being sold by the travel agent who BMI used to be associated with whose name eludes me{ mcphillips ??}
What a shame BA have stopped the route which was profitable.

As far as I'm aware the BA route was a triangular through Freetown and Monrovia, Liberia. It was officially suspended because of Ebola but with the collapse of the iron mining industries in both countries right now the demand is probably not great. Neither is exactly a tourist destination.

Demand is definitely there-try getting a seat on Air France.
