Canadian CPL in Africa
 

Just fishing for some info regarding finding work in Africa on a Canadian licence. Info such as, which parts if any recognise this licence and where to start the search would be appreciated. Current expereince limited to a Commercial Multi IFR with around 280 hours.

Hi there,

I doubt that you will find anything in Africa based on your Canadian CPL. Very few operators in South-Africa even take on guys with FAA licenses only and if they do, it has to be approved by the local CAA. I suggest you look into applying to a company such as Fugro Airborne Surveys. They are a worldwide company specialising in geophysical surveying. Bad news!

Forget about Cargaard Aviation (Fugro Airborne Surveys in Canada), they are currently laying off some crews due to lack of contracts & Sanders is planning to do so in autumn.
