Coastal Aviation

Hello,

The company operates about 11 C208 there is a problem with local pilots
fail to secure the job, but what i heard before i left is they have started a
Joni our pilot programs to help the recruitment easy for few years to come
since exparts get :ugh: in getting the working permit as the government
urge the operators to employ the citizens, some pilots with few flight hours are working with less paid such as 500 USD + 500 USD living allowance total 1,000
so that in the future they can get complete recruitment

I had a offer from them about 6 months ago. My understanding was the pay was WAY more than 1k per month! Supposed to be a good QOL too, think they want 1000tt or more and a good chunk on the van.

hello,

Would you tell me their minimum requirement at this time? Are they
hiring Captains? what about Co-pilot?

pilot4eva 21st Sep 2014 07:38

Guys,
Do you know the email address/phone no of the chief pilot or someone in charge of pilot recruitment for their company?what are the min req for co pilots?

James331 21st Sep 2014 07:56

Read the post above yours for the mins. How are you a pilot when you can't even comprehend basic English, READ.

How is it you know their pay but not their mins??

We are asking for more additional information ie. Co-pilot, if you can let us know about that, we are not here to compete for the level of English :=

Coastal doesn't hire co-pilots. PIC only. 1000tt required with 100 on type.

Jet-lover, there is plenty of caravan operators in Indonesia over in papua that pay much more than in Africa. And they have a much better rotation for work schedule, usually paying for tickets back to your home town.

Unless you aren't indonesian and just looking for work elsewhere? I saw elsewhere that you have nearly 1000hrs on 737s? How about lion air or garuda?

lilflyboy262...2 25th Sep 2014 12:40

Mate I am also working in Indonesia right now and it is more than a couple of k that you earn.
Entry level captains are earning around 50k USD after tax, no cost of living as food and accommodation is paid for, and working a 4 week on 2 week off rotation with Susi Air, and other companies have negotiable contracts...with the exception of AMA and MAF.

Living standards are only as poor as you make them. Both Susi and Dimonim air have better than average bases. While its not 5 star accommodation, its not much different to what you experience living in Africa.
This is based off of the 2yrs I spent living in Botswana.

I'm not sure what regulations you are talking about with it becoming tough. All I have to do is keep my home licence current and all is good. The company takes care of the rest.

Get recurrent on the 737 (only about 3-4months working wage in papua) and then call lion air again. They are bleeding pilots.

Indonesia sounds interesting for me. What their minimum requirement at Susi Air and Dimonim Air at the moment?
Are there other companies to consider?
