Send me a PM with your email address and I will send you what I have from 5 years ago.

Basically you have to 'unlearn' air law as you know it and 'relearn' air law as it was in the 1950's. A number of the questions in the NCAA 1950's database have the wrong answers, and you have to know the wrong answers in order to pass the exam. The NCAA have been told about this so many times.

When you come to fly here in Nigeria you will learn all the procedural stuff that was used in the 1950's. In those days of course aircraft movements were few and far between - and the aircraft speeds were 250 kts, not 450 kts.

Nigerian airspace is mayhem at the busy times.

You really sure you want to learn Nigerian air law?

Hi Thread,or anyone who can help :--))

I'm going to Nigeria next month flying for a local company with all 5N registered aircrafts. I'll therefore have to take the Nigerian Air law exam.
Any chance for me to get whatever you have concerning this matter.

thanks for your help

Or just slip the examiner 500 bucks and watch how well you do.

heloguy412,

When I did the Air Law exam in early 1992 The examiner told me I would fail before I sat the test. Of course he was right; afterwards he told me that the only way I'd pass was if I "facilitated" the exam. I was working for a big company (in those days) and they took care of it. The second time I was sat in a cupboard (really !) and passed.

Funny old thing....... after that I lived in Nigeria for 23 years, married a Nigerian lady and learned how things work.

I did this in early 80s with the Nigerian CAA Examiner called Frank McCaulay(?McKinley),who had red hair!!As far as I can remember, Cuban Havannas, wrapped in $, were the name of the game then.He had a green baseball cap with a big "P" on it ,which we told was for "Power".Yes indeed a very strange exam ,with several questions referring to the position of fingers/palms upwards or downwards, on the taxiing/stop questions, and very strange alternative answers. We were flying the President in Go National Party Nigeria (Golf Osca November Papa November),before indigenous registrations were manditory,so passed.Interesting and hilarious times, later with ACN and the OddJob character of the Boss the wonderful Arthur Chea.
