Aberdair Aviation

Hi guys

So I hear this company has two Embraer 110 Banderaintes stationed in Ghana being used for charter operations mainly in support of the mining and oil & gas industries, doing passenger/cargo transporting and spraying for oil spills etc.
According to their website they are also stationed Ethiopia and Kenya.

Does anyone here have any personal experience working with this company? what are their T an C's like? Their starting salary for FO/Capt... and how safe an operator are they?

any information on any of their bases will be appreciated!

:suspect: Mate, don't even consider going there unless you have massive balls + hair on your teeth and the patience of the Pope!

Being paid a month late and then not your entire salary due for the month + happens every month! Moreover, their Ops and HR folk are in total disarray to the extent that you'll be dead in the water even before you start flying.

As far as I'm aware NO South African pilot will work for that outfit again - too many got burnt and are still owed money!

Ask yourself the question: Does it make sense to bank roll a multi millionaire? :ugh: Think not........

Aberdair Aviation

Aberdair Aviation went through some tough times as all operators do but is now on the road to recovery with some solid contracts and an increasing footprint across africa.

They are now operating 3x Embraer 110's/ 1x Embraer 120/ 1x Aero Commander 690/ 2x C208's/ 1x Bell 407/ 3x AS350's.

The operational bases are Kenya, Ghana, South Sudan for now but soon to be expanding.

If you need any more info on Aberdair PM me?

Thanks.

Were the crews who were owed money paid in full, with interest?

A word of caution if offered a job by Aberdair Aviation.

In answer to the previous question, I can confirm I was never paid fully (let alone with interest) and I am still owed money by Aberdair at date of writing. The owner only sometimes/eventually pays what he actually owes them, when/if he needs the crew to fly again. It’s a seriously underfunded business and the contracts/job descriptions are not worth the paper they are written on. Avoid at all costs.
