unless those planes have all been shipped, registered and operated outside the country in the last 2 months...those do not exist. I don't think there are even that many 210s in the country.
I call all fake. Stay far away from that scam. If you want a work permit, enter the country on a tourist visa, assess the situation over the 3 months you have, and then decide whether it's worth forking over the $3000 for yourself. |

Getting more interesting by the day.
Good Day Sir,
When do we expect to receive the documents.Kindly send them as soon as practicable.Good Day. |
:ugh:The scam is in the "pre-paid fee" to arrange for your licence!
|
Pre-Paid Fee
Every contract in Africa on jets has paid for my Visa/Work Permit. With one exception in Nigeria where the contract was offered via a UK company. Where I did have to pay for Visa at own expense and they did repay me in FULL on arrival. They paid for everything else.

Then it IS a SCAM....
But people DO NOT ignore them!
A few strokes on your keyboard is worth their time wasted on you that they will not be doing to someone else, so tell them to call you just chit chat, sound interested, WASTE THEIR TIME & $$$. Good luck |
Call/video conference
They said OK. still waiting!
I am a jet pilot not CE208 B. Anyone looking for citation(s) or hawker willing to relocate. Bigger is better! |
SCAM or Not?

Skylink's website is a careful and skillful exercise in not giving any details or hard facts. So are the photos - carefully taken to avoid any registrations! However, the landing Van definitely belongs to TropicAir (based in Nanyuki) as they have a distinctive colour scheme, the middle one could be any file photo or anonymous white Van - and the third one is mostly likely XPA belonging to one of the missionary organisations - the blue 'bonnet' kind of gives it away.
So last time was just a general departure apron picture showing other operator's planes, and this time picking a few planes that belong to other companies. If they really do have all the planes they list, why don't they show us a picture?? I wonder. And someone wrote that a work permit would be granted within 48 hours of the forms being submitted. Not in Kenya it ain't! A work permit application takes literally weeks to be granted. At least 2 months if not 3 on average. If they can achieve legal paperwork in 2 days, I bet the new Minister of Immigration would be very keen to know how.... |
On the face of it...........
I love my continent and i am not going to let some low life scumbags ruin the image of Africa! Africa is the second largest continent on earth and has immense resources.............. What actually happened in the last 50 to 60 years is that they missed a lot of opportunities. At the moment of independence, many African countries like Ghana and Egypt had higher income per capita than China, India or Singapore. Where are they now? People talk about Africa as if it is one country. Africa is not one country, Africa is 54 countries, which are not necessarily trading or communicating among themselves. It is more difficult to pass goods from East Africa to West Africa than taking it from China to West Africa and is more expensive. Corruption is a major problem in the region !!! Many native groups in Africa believe family relationships are more important than national identity, and people in authority often use nepotism and bribery for the benefit of their extended family group at the expense of their nations. As the case may be, this environment gives "scumbags" the opportunity to scam, to cheat and taking advantage of people who only want to make a living. I respect your intention, but you will not shame anyone of them.............. |
I would expect that a reputable company with that many aeroplanes would have their own domain name instead of using webnode
that would be my first clue... next clue, the email address is a gmail account |
...and i am not going to let some low life scumbags ruin the image of Africa! |
Imagine Also
You definetly will have quite a campaign there believe me, its like saying your going to help stop Pedophilia in the western countries and stop all Pedophiles
|
Foxcotte, i believe that anonymous van might actually be LEX belonging to Wilken Aviation :ugh: I really hope whoever is running this gig gets what is coming to them

Pilot Breezy
Nice Job PB. Keep up. People will have different opinions but at least you are doing something which is better than nothing.
Cheers lad! |
Maybe it won't solve all the problems in Africa or even stop the scams, BUT as far as Skylink Aviation go, the KCAA have got wind of their operation and are very interested to look into it further.
And - surprise, surprise - Skylink's webpage is suddenly blank. I wonder why?:D:=:D |
P B, eeh lad!
In Africa we don't have "native groups". Africa and the different countries which make this amazing continent still has and will always have an image regardless of what goes on. Corruption is a problem not only in Africa but everywhere else in this world. My adoptive country... About these scam, yes, by all means do everyone a favour and warn of them. They are run by the unscrupulous greedy and aimed at the foolishly naive greedy (those who allus want owt for nowt). but why do most of the scams that end up in my e-mail 'spam' box originate from one particular continent? Happy 'scam free' flying! |
try latestpilotjobs.com with your jet experience. they have new postings every day and seems all legit
|
