Convert to the DGAC Morocco system
Any idea on how to convert/validate from an ICAO issued (FAA) into a DGAC CPL license?
Any flight school suggestions? Thank you! |
I read Article 9/35 and 36
My understanding is that a license validation for a foreign to fly the employer`s AC only is issued based on the foreign license without any further exams or testing...is that correct? |
I had my JAA licence validated by the Morocco DGAC - no exam required.
|
Thank you!
What about the Medical? did you just used the JAA issued one? |
Moroccan DAC validate licences when you are in the process of being employed.
The "CN" (name of foreign licence validation) requires a flight test and would be limited to an employer and his fleet. Sometimes a Moroccan Airlaw course is required! The employer would take care of all the administrative headache, but it can take months. Everything can be found on the Moroccan civil aviation website...in french. Good Luck |
" I had my JAA licence validated by the Morocco DGAC - no exam required."
Only for JAA license , for the FAA you need to pass the theory and practical exam for cpl & ir. |
That would seem coherent with what they told me - in my case it was RAM that looked after the admin for the validation of my JAR licence. The Moroccan DGAC has aligned its regulations very closely with JAA.

If you wouldn't mind me asking, does RAM take in foreign people for the flight deck? Some years ago my, at the time company, together with some other companies were in Casablanca doing some flights for RAM due to a pilot strike that happen at the time. To the best of my knowledge, that strike happened because the local workforce were complaining that there were to many foreign pilots working in Morocco. Cheers |

as you said , the strike was about foreingers working in Atlas Blue ; the situation wont happen again Plus , many locals from RAM acadmy are in the waiting list add to that some of the RAM pilots were forced to go work in RAM Express because of the restructuration . |
Morocco is a funny country. They want operate in JAA environment, however the country itself is living in the 50`s or 60`s if compared to many countries. The bribery is the law.:=
