Corporate flying into Algeria
We have a flight into DAAG, any experience what to expect, ground handling , processes and other useful information.

Only used them for a tech stop, and have been in and out in 45 min. Very painless for an international quick turn in Africa. Universal says it takes 4 days to get a landing permit which is BS. We actually asked our handler Universal used and he said he could have it ready in an hour.

What handler did they use locally ,

DAAT experience
Have been in DAAT, but you may be able to use some of the info. Was on a flight from Malabo to Tunis with a tech stop in Tamanrasset (DAAT). Permit was arranged by a company from Tunisia (cannot remember the name). Called DAAT over the phone since I wasn't able to contact any handler there. They told me that I could go without handler. So I did. And everything went perfect. As soon as we landed we were reached by some airport officials, who got the fuel truck for us. Went to ATC for flight plan and taxes. Everything paid cash, of course. But less than 30 min to complete everything and go.

ALGERIAN PERMITS
I can normally get Algerian overflight & landing permits within 24-48 hours.
This is absolute max - normally on a working day within a few hours. |

I agree re BS!!:ok:
As for fees......no comment!!! |
And whilst Magvelda does your clearances, we can do the handling (and it needn't be very expensive).
Cheers, Sam. |
In DAAG, handling is done by Swissport (I think itīs the only FBO there).
In DAAT, you can now even pay the landing fees with VISA card (btw, we paid 175 (C525, 4850 kg MTOW). |
