Helderberg has been on fire since about 8am; I am about 2 miles south.

Last I heard from across the valley, 10 houses burned down.

(Kudos to the flyers both fixed and fling who have been dipping and dropping water for the last 6 hours or so.)

To all those guys n gals that flew non-stop all day. Especially you water bombers, you in the Kamov, you others in the yellow painted choppers (I am no heli expert, only recognize counter-rotating rotors as being Russki). 5 I think in total.

Just for interest sakes, Working on Fire used its resources there. The small aircraft is the 206 spotter plane that coordinates and directs the bombers and choppers. WOF used its Dromader bombers, Huey's (painted yellow) and the Kamov to fight the fire.
Hope its out this morning!

Counter-rotating fling on top with no tail rotor... Kamov? Right?
