"...OH SWEET NIGERIA..."
WTF? The place is awful! |
Good Luck First Nation !!!
Paint jobs look fantastic, however, I hope that they better highlight the "First" script, perhaps with black trim around it?
I honestly hope they have the financing to knock on Arik's door, however Arik is doing a great job of not having a door to knock on soon :ouch: |
Bellview / Again
Considering they were RAMPED and now grounded := due to documentation issues  Not a good begining - that said will be a sucees from day one in LOS given the competition :D

FirstNation
They look familiar ..... were they the ex-Hellas ones (as seen on TV being repossessed by Mr Popovich recently ?)
..... he'll earn his money if he has to go down to MMIA to get them back next time !! :ooh: Lol ... |
Anyone know what the requirements are for FO. I'm african and A320 rated but zero time on type?
|
Is being African a requirement? If so, then being a Nigerian should keep one ahead of other Africans????
|
I hope they pay up better than Arik!

First Nation - Oh Sweet Nigeria -Oh Dear!!!!
I obtained the Algerian and Niger overflight permits for 5N-FNA/FNB/FNC for their recent ferry flights Canada - Nigeria
Deal was credit card with order... Chief Pilot SR said "no problem". FA in LOS ops gave me credit card details - refused by credit card company as "invalid card". Promised new card....still waiting..... I have dealt with a number of Nigerian operators over the past - some good some bad.... The money owing is not a lot...IT IS THE PRINCIPLE.... I will let you know if I ever get paid.... In the meantime ( with respect to my honest Nigerian clients )... OH SWEET NIGERIA ....:ugh: |
Odu K again?
:{@Velda you mean you were given a rubber card? Its too early in the game for such acts bordering on insincerity on the part of FN,I want to believe that this was truly an error,Beautyfully painted planes do not imply a change in the character of its suppposed Chairman,we all hope that this is not an Arik style operator in the making again, leopards we know never change thier spots.Guys the lure of Buses should not confuse you all, working for free a'la Arik is in the offing here, where crews have to offer discount for operators.Open your eyes very well,Oduk has not shed his garb,Eish:=

Press Interview
The Corporate Affairs ,FirstNation Airways, Ronke Kilaso said that as a build up to the inaugural flight in May, the new entrant has delivered three modern Airbus A320 aircraft, adding that the first aircraft flew into Nigeria from Montreal, Canada via Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday, April 10th, 2011.
She added that the cabin is made up of eight business class and 138 comfort classes, in all new leather seats complete with in-flight entertainment including air show and screens, for enhanced passenger comfort. Speaking on the management of the airline, Kilaso said it will be headed by an expatriate as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Managing Director while the board will be chaired by Mr. Kayode Odukoya, Former Managing Director of Belview airlines adding that the airline has assembled a talented team of expatriates and Nigerians to run all aspects of the Operation. Kilaso informed that the airline is currently conducting flight proofing as part of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority’s (NCAA) extensive and demanding certification process. On the insinuation that the airline is an extension of the defunct Belview airlines ,the spokes person , said ,”FirstNation Airways hereby clarifies that she is independent and separate entity from Belview but pleased to have benefited from the wealth of experience of some of the former senior management of Belview Airlines” The airline has selected the European Air Safety Agency (EASA) 145 approved maintenance service provider to maintain the aircraft, while Airbus industries, British Midland and Oxford Aviation Academy will provide training for engineers, pilots and cabin crew. She added that the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCo) Aviance has been selected as its ground handler to support First Nation after what she described as an extensive tender process. |
PR Crap
Hey guys can you tell the lady PR ,to respond to the non payment of overflight charges as elicitd by VEDAS?It will go a long way than all this pr blitz, its really saddening that we all have to face the insincerity of purpose as this clownish things continue to occur,Planes are in naija please pay your bills,as we say Abeg shame for us now..........:\
|
They are definitely in the running for the Arik award !!!!
|
Hi
Thanks for your concern. Neither "Capt Steve" or "Ops Frank" have had the courtesy to reply to my emails. I have today contacted Algerian and Niger CAAs. I have worked with Nigerian businesses since 1986 - Aerocontractors / Schreiner /Flash etc - Never a problem. The amount of money involved is not an issue - It is the  principle. Cheers |
Any nominees for the 2010/11 Arik Award?
