I didn't know General Motors powered the 777...
 
I guess TAAG must have ordered a very rare engine option for their fleet. Maybe this is why they are having trouble with them. Hopefully Mr. Goodwrench will visit and tell them what the problem is.

He may not get much help from "General Motors":E:E:E Unless the 777s are powered by a pair of Opel Corsa bakkies! If I'm not mistaken, Those 777s are powered by the RR option, not even the General Electric 90s?

And since when was a jet engine (ENGINE) ever called a "motor"?:ugh:

It's quite cheering to see that the usually South African phenomenon of shoddy journalism is migrating worldwide....... at least we won't feel so hard done by in SA now.

Not so sure the journalism can be faulted - they did call it an engine after all - it seems the "shoddy" part of this report can be attributed to the quote from the spokesman who must have been dragged out of a used car lot and who also confuses safety with security :E
