Does anybody know what is going on at Safair? Heard they are letting people go? :ooh:

I heard that Jetworx, trading as Safair Technical has let people go. Apparently after the Aeronexus merger they found themselves overstaffed for the present economy. Also heard that present management has no clue on how to run an AMO, with questions been asked by FAA and EASA.

Safair ops, trading as Safair, has apparently let some 737 crew go. Do not think the Herc crew were affected.

a friend of mine just go hired to fly C130s at Safair.

Yip,
they let 2 F/O's and 3 Capt's go from the 737 fleet
A bunch of hosties also let go.

I see on this months register review they have bought a new 737. Does this mean they will now be short on crew. What's happening with the hercs. Busy, any new contracts? Anyone know?
