rogue van

Does anyone know what the story was with the Caravan bombing around JIA this morning not talking to anyone and approaching on the wrong runway??

Oh hell! Looks like SA aviation is going the same way as the black taxies on SA roads. Going where ever they want and doing their own thing.

Was it a van?
Sitting at Fuggen Been in Kempton this morning we saw what seemed to be a 172/182 turing right off what would appear to have been an approach on 21, turned right across Glen Marais and went off to NE. Interesting. Temporarily uncertain of position.

Almost as bad as when the 1900 landed on the taxiway instead of the runway - with a Gr1 testing officer as captain!

Other forums stated from eye witness's that it was definitly a 172.

oh ok, atc told us it was a caravan, didn't actually see it ourselves!
