Angola Airport Closure
 

We're hearing rumours here that Luanda International Airport (LAD) and possibly every other airport in the country will be closing for 4 days due the upcoming elections.

The closure dates are said to be September 4,5,6,7 directly affecting the BA flight and also the World Airlines charter.

Does anyone on this forum know anything further as I am unable to get local confirmation.

Call BA and ask them if their flights are cancelled ?

Can't get any joy out of their local people unfortunately - no-one seems to know anything, all we know for certain is that all Sonair internal transfers are shutdown for those 4 days.

The closure of the international airport may just be a rumour, but nothing would surprise me in this place!

Maybe they've found they ATA DC7 after all, along with the Uzis?
