Plane crashed on KZN beach?
News 24 has the following:
Aircraft crashes on KZN beach 2008-6-14 10:26 Durban - Two people were critically injured when a microlight aircraft crashed on a KwaZulu-Natal beach, paramedics said. Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the aircraft had crashed on the Salt Rock beach on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast. "Two people are in a critical condition and paramedics are battling to stabilise them at present," he said. He said both patients would be airlifted to nearby hospitals. "One will be taken to Umhlanga hospital and the other will be taken to Alberlito where specialists are standing by to treat them," he said. It was unclear if one of the injured was the pilot. Police Search and Rescue spokesperson Inspector Troy Alison said he was aware of the crash and that his team were en-route to the scene. The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage. SAPA VG300 |
