SAA to Harare Flight Aborted
Crack forces plane to turn back
24/01/2008 19:41 - (SA) Johannesburg - A South African Airways (SAA) flight bound for Harare had to turn back to OR Tambo International Airport on Thursday after a crack was noticed in a cockpit window. SAA head of group corporate affairs, Robyn Chalmers, said flight SAA 033 departed at 10:30, but turned back due to the crack. "The plane, a Boeing 737-800, was changed to a Airbus 319. The plane left at 15:15 for Harare. We apologise to our customers," she said. |
