C'mon guys, lets hear how it went.

Dew Point 26th Mar 2002 11:49

Sun Air - RED, nice ops, loads are good.. .. .Nothing sells as good service, good food, nice girls and masseuse on board the flight.. .And, yes, girls are as nice as 'old Blue one' were.

Where is the great DR.Doveton Morgan ??.... .Care to share first hand how your first flights have gone from the sharp end of the new Sunair Red machine?. .And Dr whats this about cute hostages?? Not as nice as the ol Kin****hole Malibu Babes??!!. .Give us some gaff on the loads and how the new Terminal is handeling the shedule at LIMA ALPHA.. .AiSHH gotta get back to Toblerone country... .9q4g

Dew Point 27th Mar 2002 14:33

Regarding Lima Alpha's handling of the scheduled traffic..Lot of things have to change in HLA's management mind set regarding scheduled traffic.. .. .But as they say: Rome was not built in a day.... .. .Loads are much better than expected, and it looks like will improve further.... .. .There's still people with bucks outhere, and if service is good they don't mind paying.... .. .Over & out

Still finding my way around the office but things are getting better ("whats this button for again?") Fortunately Charlie Tango is long and wide to practice on!!
The numbers are picking up nicely and are (IN FACT) better than expected. Had 66 down to Cape Town yesterday. Considering that it has only been on the go for 3 weeks I would say that all is going VERY well. FALA isn't posing too many problems although we had to wait 15 minutes yesterday to get airborne due to traffic. To be fair, it was a medi rescue flight that we had to wait for.
The hosties are top notch and better than the old blue. Plenty of compliments about the massuese.
Fettucini alla Papa is all smiles. The Dr is missing the greenbacks but not the consultations.
Saw the racing snake yesterday missing many panels. Looks like 4g has plenty more Toblerone time and South coast plenty more Malibu time!!!! Hope the pets are behaving.

Well thanks for that General Doveton.
Yup I can say that sipping fine French vino in the afternoon sun here on the lakes of Geneva is a great way to spend a couple of days on R&R from the ol Primus by the pool in Kinshasa. Ill be heading your way tommorrow unfortunatley back to those fine primusis and to rescue ol South Coast (not that hes wanting the rescue from Malibu, but more likely from Swartbaard!)
Im decidedly envious of your JOB and hope to join your fine ops in the not to many a Primus's time. The Lebanese Racing snake should be a go-er by end of week..sooo lets do lunch..
Haste not to forget to bring a hostage or 3 for enhanced services...Im sure youve got some well trained by now after training your other pets up in Gombe'.
Later dude!
Wana Breitling or three?

How many crews are operating the DC-9`s, and are there any of the original Sun Air Pilots still operating these machines?

FuelFlow 7th Apr 2002 06:36

4granted

Are you with Crossair (Swiss)? If so, what is happenning to the SA guys that are there. Do you think they will be sent back??

FuelFlow 7th Apr 2002 10:13

126.9

Where are you now? Havn`t seen you since Crotchair days. Hopefully you are not having any of these problems.

Had a Beer in ZRH 2 weeks ago with Box. Don`t miss the place!!!

Crossair (SWISS) South Africans

Most of the SA lads at Swiss work in Switzerland on "B-Permits." That is; a work permit that has to be renewed annually. So, now that there is a glut of local pilots on the market, it seems that the XENOPHOBIC powers that be at Crashair are looking at ways of pulling these permits, without attracting too much attention. Basically, their position will be that if a pilot doesn't have a permit, he can no longer work there. And if they can have the permits pulled, then the spotlight is moved away from Crotchair, and severance packages probably won't even be paid. It appears to me, from my side of the river, that they're about to open a can worms that could very well sink them. The latest news is that the Canadian Embassy have acquired the services of an attorney to represent their nationals that are in a similar position. I hope they kick butt! Let's hope that the other foreigners get their embassies involved too.

South Coast
Hope you are fitting right in there. Have it on good authority that you needn't unpack when you get back here. Do not stop at go, proceed straight to Kananga with the competition, for a month long tour with your friend from Pretoria as Captain. Looks like the chocolates paid off. Your name is on the board!!!!!!
