Looking for work in Africa

I am currently in Australia but am thinking of making the big venture out to Africa for some hour building.

Would anyone be able to enlighten me on the African aviation scene ie. where is it busiest, what are the conditions like, and what kind of experience are most employers looking for, what is the transition like from singles to twins etc ?

I would appreciate any knowledge that anyone can give to me, as I am very interested in coming over there.

Hey Aussie mate,

from the sounds of things you want to check out the "Maun old boys" thread. Botswana is sort of like Kunnunurra in Africa. The fellas there will be pretty helpful. Also do a search for different keywords on this forum and you shall find plenty of good stuff.

Luck

Blueline69, sorry to disappoint you but there is ****** all work. Ansett isn't looking too healthy, although I'm sure it won't go under but they employ around 800 pilots. To convert your licence, look up www.casa.gov.au. Cheers.
