Air Namibia 737 turns back

Air Namibias 737-200 owned and maintained by Safair turned back enroute JHB to WDH this morning.Crew reported low oil pressure and shut the engine down.
What is happening at SAFAIR I heard many of their engineers are leaving?
I understand Air Namibia are negotiating with US leasing company for 737 300 or 500.
greetings

Sorry to hear that Safair is dissapointing their clients.

"What is happening at SAFAIR I heard many of their engineers are leaving?" - regret Vanninam to inform that it is probably busy shutting down just like the rest of South Africa. And so we can ask;... what is happening at SAA..., what is happening at Denel..., what has happened to the proud once biggest and most capable Air Force in Africa - that must now rely on dubious chartered Russian aircraft to perform the SAAF's role in African peace-keeping operations.

Was standing under the approach to RWY21L yesterday morning, heard SW call up with an emergency, all other traffic were instructed to maintain 'best speed' to accomodate the B732. Was definate visible oil smoke, looked like a strong vortex being shed off the engine. Glad to hear all ended safely.
