Aircraft off the runway at JIA

This afternoon runway 03R/21L was closed at FAJS due to an aircraft leaving the runway, we heard as we left for George. It was only cleared as we got back around 19:30.

Any details?

Wheels up.

Light twin prop-job (ZS-JGW) made a “nice” but very expensive wheels up landing, luckily no fire, no injuries :D . Aircraft did not leave the runway the damage was light although expensive (both props bend).
According to another aviation forum, aircraft abort first landing and pilot “forgot” landing gear on second approach :( .
A SAA A319 might have had front row seats to the whole episode and had to abort their landing.

Also the 2nd time the same pilot has done a wheels up in 6 months.(the last time he also forgot the wheels).
So much for recurrent training.
So much for flight and duty time.
So much for many things.
Just check the company.
Also the same company that is sueing CAA for loss of earnings as one of their captains was taken off a passanger paying flight as his licence was invalid, (invalid for nearly 7 months).
(definitely CAA's fault that his licence was invalid as CAA should have nappy changed the captain).
One wanders.:8
