Goodbye Air Mauritius Boeing 767s

18 years of service and it was about time..

Rumours are that the A350 will join the fleet in 3 years time..

The fight is about to start.. B787 vs A350

'City of Port Louis' and 'City of Curepipe' BOEINGs got old.Can anyone explain the accident that occured a few years back where the 'City of Port Louis' banged on the wall of the Air Mauritius cargo building at Plaisance. The press did not talk too much about it.
Many thanks raviMK and I vote for the A350.

i heard that someone released the parking brake by mistake!

Engineering had just towed the aircraft and left it with no park brake and no chocks.
Ended up with its nose against the brick wall and big $'s worth of damage.
Boeing had to fly in and inspect it and draw up the repair.
Strange no one got sacked over that one.

Heard that the engineers who towed the plane set the park brake (but no chocks) but did not pressurise the system and the accumulators were empty? Am I right?

Merci guys:D
Just wondering how many pilots actually work in the 767s and how much time is required for them to 'transit' to the A340.
Any guys here know at what price the 767s are sold for?

787 vs 350

forget the 350, apparently airbus are re-designing it (370?) and won't be ready until at least 2012!
