African's still remember the 76 Israeli's

Anyone seen the beautiful plaque at Entebbe's old terminal buiding ?

Anyone seen the plaque at the old terminal building with the full story of Operation "Jonathan" on the morning of 4 July 1976?

The modern Ugandan's call it a : "Shinning egsample of the fight againts terrorism and a symbol of mans courage in resisting brutality and evil "

Great history - the Israeli commando's landad at midnight with 4 aircraft after an eight hour flight from Israel? Anyone know what aircraft where used, and how did they get the landing lights on ?

100 Hostages were held at the terminal only Nethanyahu and 4 other Israeli civilians lost their lives, Dora Bloch were executed at the hospital the next morning under President Idi Amins orders.

The aircraft used were four C-130's and two B-707's. The lead C-130 was granted permission to land after using a fictitious airline call-sign. One C-130 followed behind the lead whilst the other two used a seperate runway. One B-707 orbited Lake Victoria and acted as the command post whilst another remained on standby at Nairobi.

Total brilliance. Has anyone seen the movie? Is it accurate?
I would love to be directed to where I can find out more 'maybe in video form?'

not to sidetrack the topic but can anyone elabourate on similar missions?
I remember reading about the FFL flying out of corsica to save French held hostages in The Congo.
If I had another life I would love to be skilled and brave enough to jump in and rescue people like those who where held hostage in the past.

Cheers.
