Namibia Commercial Aviation DC-6B after Chris Schutte´s death
Sadley, due to the recent passing of the owner of NCA in Windhoek, Namibia this beautiful aircraft is now up for sale. According to the family in a recent article in the german aircraft magazine "AERO International", Chris Schutte was the driving force behind the aircraft, and the family can no longer sustain the enthusiasm Chris had for flying and maintaining it.
The aircraft in question is V5-NCG and was delivered 15.11.1958.
NCA´s website is:
NCA, Aviation, DC6
and on Wikipedia:
Namibia Commercial Aviation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and on airliners.net

Sorry to hear of the death of Mr Schutte and concerned for the fate of V5-NCG
It's sojourn after Yugoslavia with the Zambian AF probably didn't help in this regard. However, it's sister aircraft is now the glorious Red Bull machine in Salzburg, so there is hope.

Unfortunately when the aircraft came from Yugoslavia it was without most of it's paperwork history, so it'll not be able to be registered in another country
Está servira para distraerle.
Perhaps someone had better drop Dietrich Mate****z a line and tell him the aircraft is on the market.
If it's the twin to the one he already owns at Salzburg then perhaps he'd like it for flights into Laucala.

Laucala's a nice little place actually and old D (he's very reclusive) has spent $30 million on it since he bought the island for $10 million in 2002. Malcolm Forbes used to own it. He's dead now of course, dead in 1990.
Laucala Island - an exclusive private Island in the magic cosmos of the Fijian Pacific archipelago
Guests normally arrive in the seven seat King Air so I expect the runway would have to be lengthened a tad. Quite a tricky place to land in after dark even for an experienced 200 pilot.
