Nigerian ATPL Licence Equivalence
Hi,
Has anyone recently applied for a NCAA ATPL converted from a JAR ATPL ?
What Exams do you have to pass ? Any infos are welcome

correct,air law adopted by the NCAA.Reading material a bit tricky,as no official study material by the NCAA,but most Nigerian airline training departments have a study material created to assist.
Best bet is to seek someone who has just taken the exam in recent times,they normally have the study material.
Pretty similar in a few areas to UK CAA air law.

Totally similar.
Just don`t turn up in uniform, that`s like a red rag to a bull. And be polite, if you can suck ar*e, not everybody can, you are half way there.

JAR to NCAA
Pretty similar in a few areas to UK CAA air law.
As for studying for it agree with above comments but best source is other pilots from your firm/airline.
It would be nice if there was some applicability of the exams to actual flying in Nigeria but unfortunately the NCAA don't really do anything other than for show so it is basically best to treat is as yet again another expat hurdle.
Learn the answers you are given by colleagues pass the exam and then invest your time and effort in staying alive which is the majority of the challenge with some the infrastructure and professionalism of many of the airspace users and operators in Nigeria.
Getting the licence on the other hand depends on who you know as Nigerians do not really care if everything is correct. It is more a continuous need for them to demonstrate their ability to exercise some power over you situation. So lots of form as opposed to substance and be suitably humbled and all will be well.

Nigerian Air Law Exams
I believe i have a job flying a Hawker 1000 for Dangote Group, out of Lagos, Nigeria. They also have a Global, Challenger 300, G550...so, not to big of a flight dept.. I have not been able to get in touch with any of the american/western pilots to ask about the Air Law exams.
Does anyone here have any suggestions or thougths on the Air Law Exams? To study? or ?? Please send me an e-mail or private message.

As has been said, when you get here, have your company provide you with whatever study material they have (or ask if they can email it to you now).
There's no official source of study material, that I'm aware of. I have a hard copy of study material, but that won't help you now.
I wan to reiterate that this is strictly a "memorize the answers" type test. Much of it won't make any sense whatsoever.
