Time to fly!
its impressive how a year ago i was the one posting on this forum. Time really flies. For those people who are doing it for the first time beware this interview is going to be the easiest but most of you will fail because of fear. I still have one year left to wait and God willing i will be doing the interviews for the second time. All the best peeps. the direct entry advertisement was recently on the papers about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I belive it should be still on. You may check the advert on the K.Q recruitment portal. Just search direct entry pilots

This waiting realy sucks.it is as if everything at KQ HR department has been frozen.i wish they were following this thread and experience what we are going through

They might call us next year January and send us before this financial year ends on 31 March 2013 because they haven't sent anybody for this other half year which began on 1st October.
Plus talked to an ab initio candidate and told me that bhisho was a bit full so KQ might be waiting for KQ group 6 or KQ 6 to clear which they are currently doing. Four have already left nine more to go.

RESULT SLIP
got mine invitation to scheduled for 26th but the certificates for 2011. candidates av not been released by the exam council.so i only have the result slip but they emphasised on that on the email invitation pliz help

Result slip
Having mine on 26 at 7.30. For those without a kcse certificate you can try going with a confirmation of results document which you can get at knec head office. As for the result impatience has now paved way for fear.

KNEC HEAD OFFICE
Anyone familiar with the knec headoffice please post it for my benefit because i similarly lack the cetificate yet am informed that the result slip is acceptable and on the contrary, they insisted that "the result slip is not the certificate"

Interviews at last!
Congratulations for those who passed the online screening. The next two months will leave your intestines boiling..5 interviews. Now that you going for the first, an advise..go there relaxed and go through the things you have learnt, basic things like speed of light..its goin to be rigorous but calmnes and speed is paramount. You will realize this at the test centre (kenya airforce) . I will be joining you later in the medicals, i already did the first 3 interviews in march. All the best guys

Aptitude Tests
Just a hint. On completion of document verification by hr, you will be escorted to embakasi barracks, the test centre. The entry requirement into the exam room is height..so your heights will be taken, hope you are within 5.4-6.2. If your taller or shorter by 0.5 they wont allow(this is kenya army!). Inside the room, you wil be presented with short exams with 5 sections -spatial reasoning(shapes), numerical series, basic maths, general science and aviation instrumentation(the most interesting of all, if aviation is your passion-it involves plane pictures and instrument readings such as altitude, plane speed and direction which you are expected to interpret. However, dont worry you will given a short lecture before). Guesing is not encouraged since 1 wrong is -1. They need the ones with the most correct answers within the stipulated time. Guess this will help!
