Johannesburg - Minister in the Presidency Manto Tshabalala-Msimang was lucky to be alive after a plane she was aboard performed an emergency landing on Thursday at Lanseria airport, the SABC said.
"I was scared and it was devastating, I didn't understand what was happening," Tshabalala Msimang said in an interview.
Earlier spokesperson of Minister in the Presidency, Thabo Masebe said Tshabalala Msimang was returning from a youth summit in Mafikeng and was headed to an AU meeting in Lesotho when her plane landed around 16:00.
"The plane's landing wheels failed to deploy but the pilot successfully managed to land the plane," said Masebe. No one was injured.

Has she ever understood what was happening around her????

I'm confused as well...was she referring to her time spent in office, or the accident?

I wonder if "her highness" ever thought that these exact words could be attributed to her lack of action/understanding for most HIV/AIDS sufferer's in this fair land of ours. After the incident, I wonder if she took a step back and thought, "There but by the grace of God, go I" ?? Meybe some good will come out of this incident and she will get to understand that her life was placed in the hands of a COMPETENT pilot, who DELIVERED when it mattered most.

I strongly doubt it.

and she will get to understand that her life was placed in the hands of a COMPETENT pilot, who DELIVERED when it mattered most.
She probably sees that as her divine right seeing as she rented the plane with a competent crew. I bet the outcome would have been a lot less confusing for her if she had been hurt in any way that a drink couldn't fix.

Well done to the crew !!!!
