Question Arik To Stop Flights From PH NAF Base?

Looking at their on line timetable it seems that Arik Air stopped flights from the Port Harcourt NAF Base to both Lagos and Abuja yesterday. Virgin Nigeria also seem to have pulled out, leaving only Aero now flying from NAF to Lagos. Arik spent a large amount of money building a new terminal building with a large ramp area and an extension to the taxi way. It seems they don't care about wasting their money - they must have made a packet to e abandoning that lot so soon

Arik is the new way of legal slave labour. They are short of crew and don't really want to hire. You will fly way over 100hrs and can't complain. if you do, you get suspended. The authorities are not doing anything about it. If you don't mind working without rights, work there.

Well,
Thats really news?
Considering the cadre of management pilots in that airline, one would expect a lot more out of that establishment.
Unfortunately, these stories as i hear them are true!!
It sickens me when they all come out with bravado and have nothing professional to show for it! All talk and no action!!
Sad to think that even they participate in the 'over-work' scheduling.
Like i have said times before; it does not take a smart person to be a pilot only a smart person to be a good one!.
Thank goodness some of us dont have to bow to the 'tin gods' any longer.
I can only wish them luck!!!!
