Interesting. Do you know, where the B767 will come from?

How many seats will the 757 have?

Ghana International Airways - how they are doing?

Just wondered, how GO is doing? A daily rotation to LON seems very much.

What are the next steps for them?

Ghana International AIRLINES

G0 are doing very well, the flight from ACC arrives in LGW every day on time and the clean, crisp colour scheme on the B757 looks great!

There are consistantly high loads and good yeilds. The airline is making money and why shouldn't they, have you seen their F/A's? Hot indeed!

Good point ChiefT. Loads have been about 40 to 50 pax per flight which is not great at all. Christmas loads are better but then they should be.

I think their main problem is putting an additional 2240 seats per week between the UK and Ghana and the market cannot sustain it. They would be much better off by flying 3 or 4 times per week to the UK and flying on other days to DUS or FRA or FCO.

50 pax per day? So they are shifting a lot of air between ACC and LON! And the side effect is,that they burn lots of money every day!

Very good to read posotive things about G0 first hand. I'd say they are an upcoming African airline.

Merry Christmas

Ghana International Airways - how much money left

Heard some rumours from well informed sources, that G0 will ask for additional money from the government. Talk is about 10 to 15 Mio USD.

Pax figures showd an average utilisation of less than 50 passengers per flight.

G0 = money burners?

i flew G0 on 4 occasions (soon 6) 3 out of my 4 flights had a 90%+ load. i believe they are struggling with filling the plane from London.
i believe that they only sell their tickets at a few travel agents in London and not via other travel agenst like Thomas cook or via the net like opodo, last minute

ChiefT - I also heard they were going back to the Government for more money and the pax figures you state are correct. Will the Ghana Government hand them any more, given their business model is fundamentally flawed?

I seriously doubt it - as we hear the the Government is looking at some other options already. Yet, on the other hand - you never know - this is Africa after all and the Ghanaian Government has made numerous summersaults before it finally arrived at Ghana International. Well don o
