Devil Average weight of PAX

198lbs - 202lbs - 196lbs - 212lbs - 194lbs - 208lbs.........It goes on and on.

Everyone seems to have a variation for load sheets......

Anyone know if there is an agreed "approved" standard weight for PAX regardless of gender??

Cockpit weights range from 308-484, so lets not go there :-)

Keep it simple - thanks

Devil Windycorner

Go to: http://www.caa.co.za

Left side of the screen, you will see Acts and Regulations, click on it, go to CATS, do the same, go to SA-CATS-OPS-91 (pdf format). Look at page 90 - 93.

Hope it helps.

The whole scenario changes once our esteemed politicians get onto a plane - as most carry excess baggage with them you cannot work on the average weight formula anymore.

Also because they are too fat due to the huge amounts of gravy on the train.

They should actually fly more with SAA, their onboard food is so bad these days, dieting should be easy.

Carrying the excess luggage will at least give them some exercise...

As Deanw said, they are weighing people, is this to determine new standard weights as our modern day "low fat" TV diets, fast foods and our strict "no exercise" regimes are bloating us like the Americans?

Devil Ja Boet...

SRT, you had me falling out my chair! Ja Boet, the farm life is tough hey...

praenoscere, I have to agree, the farmers would rather take the diesel Merc or the Syncro Combi, hook the caravan and set off to the coast with ma and the kids in tow..

But the truth is, world wide most developed countries are making adjustments for the growing amounts of fatties...

It's only in Zimbabwe where Bob Mugabe is keeping them slim on his "white out" diet...
