A small plane from the QUALITY FLY Aviation Academy crashes in Madrid
 

This Saturday morning, a small plane from the QUALITY FLY Aviation Academy crashed at the Cuatro Vientos aerodrome in the middle of a flight class, with two people traveling inside at the time of the accident. Fortunately, pilot and student have escaped unharmed.

Looks like the aircraft (Tecnam P2008) came down in the field between the airport and the train depot to the south, and nosed over on landing. The report suggests a fuel issue.

also they had an accident with 2 dead in 2019.

It's sad to hear of a crash. I trust that the pilot (solo student?) was suitably qualified and dispatched for the flight - and gender was not a factor in the accident....

Sounds like a bit of a hop, skip and a jump arrival on the nose wheel.

Students are always going to give undercarriages a hard time, possibly the only thing to learn here (or have reaffirmed) is that Tecnam's aren't terrifically robust.

We had one online for a while, I recollect comments about the undercarriage being a bit light for training which is why it had been 'retired' from the previous operator and was never for use by inexperienced pilots.

Pleased to read that from an injury perspective it's possibly only a bruised ego at worst.

Learn on a taildragger, from the beginning, you need to arrive at the right speed, rate of descent and hold the flare, or it will bite. You learn the right actions and discipine.
Learning on a tricycle is OK if the instructor himself knows what he is doing, but have ssen so many instructors arriving way to fast, not correcting for parallax on side by side trainers. and at the flare just hold the stick and rudder ( If they ever use it) and wait...Not their fault, they have not been thaught properly.. And with crosswinds it's a rodeo.. As an american friend told me instructors need to be sweating on the right side of their face ....So the student can't see the fear...
Any Cessna or Piper can take the abuse..but Tecnams....

I have to respectfully disagree, but maybe I do agree if you are talking about the average flying training school. If the students are taught correctly then there will not be a problem. I was once helping out at a civilian flying club which operated from a military flying school base. One of the PPL instructors at this mythical club where most pilots had a lot of trouble with landings once asked me if the military trainers were easy fly because the military training aircraft always landed in the same place, even when solo students were flying them!

As was mentioned above, when the instructors themselves have only recently completed their PPL and CPL then an awful lot is often missed in the teaching.
