People do it with balloons as well, trying to hold onto the basket. Resist the temptation to hold it down.

There's sickening footage of a US Airship lifting several 'sailors' who didn't let go off the ground and into the air. One of the them was able to tie himself to his rope; the others fell to their death.

This clip on the other hand has a happy ending.

. Someone who wasn't attached to the paraglider when he should have been.
