The report has been published on my old friend Davis Last's fatal flight last year, No definitive reason could be found.

Sorry for your loss. He was 79 years old. Losing conciousness and slumping/crumbling over the yoke can provide the nose-down control input to maintan the dive. :(

Page 2 of the report, Footnote 2 states "Aircraft are required to transit the Menai Straits below 1,500 ft on the Holyhead QNH."

Where does this requirement come from, please?
