Pilot's video log of rescue

A pilot pulled the CAPS on his Cirrus a few days ago, in the the forest of Quebec, and it seemed to work out well for him. The tree which apparently impaled the cockpit floor is alarming, but he seems unhurt - lucky guy!

I was particularly impressed with the amount of electronic survival equipment he had. I also liked the “bug hats” that the winchmen were wearing. Essential in the Canadian bush.

I think I would have had a preference for ditching in that lake near the shore. Unreasonable?
