Rich Goodwin close call?

Anyone else at Dunsfold wings and wheels on Sunday and got a video of Rich Goowdin's display? Looked to me like Rich nearly stuffed the Pitts (G-EWIZ) in!
About half way through his display, at the far right hand end after a series of negative G tumbles it looked like he completely lost it and had a serious brown flying suit moment.
I'm sure it was not intentional, it was outside the airfield boundary towards the village, below the treeline and there were seemingly no control inputs for a while whilst rapidly heading for the ground in an uncontrolled manner, followed by a sudden, messy and very low recovery. It almost looked like he may have blacked out for a moment. The commentator (Brendan O'Brien) was shocked and didn't know what to say, followed by commenting that Rich was now collecting himself together again. All very odd.

I found a video of most of it:

Couldn't see the part you were referring to, so I suspect the poster has edited it out.. or dropped the camera! It must have been quite a moment if it caused dear old Brendan to go quiet!!!

Rich is clearly excellent and produces a great display in an awesome aircraft - although I have to say a 12 minute slot with that much tumbling is a bit OTT - no wonder he had a moment. I'm not sure why you'd work yourself that hard. I wish such displays contained a few more classic figures. It would be just as engaging for the audience and give the pilot a break from such high gradient manoeuvres that can and do bite...
