Oops. Looks like the no 2 was on the wrong side for that pass! So no 1 needed to give him more room, or a greater stagger needed to allow the second aircraft to scoop safely?

Not sure if that is classed as an "Accident" or a "Close call" !!

Bit more than a close call, it lost the left wingtip float! :p

There were people on the shore nearby. The river Rhone seems to be up to 200 meters wide in that area but not very straight. Formation take off perhaps unwise?
