SilkAir recently withdrew their intention to operate this route (SIN-KTA), however with a smaller aircraft, it might prove successful. It would definitely be a block seat proposition through a WA based agent thus spreading the risk. The schedules would most likely be aligned with one (or more) of the big companies crew rotations (Woodside, Chevron, Rio, BHP etc). Both KTA and PHE airports and local governments have been extremely proactive in recent years in their attempts to secure international services. I am sure these organisations are also offering incentives to the operator plus taking on some of the commercial risk as well.

I really hope it goes well for them!

Edit....I am referring to the SIN-KTA pairing!
